The short version. Dirtbike Dash has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. To make the game better, it sends anonymous data about how races go: times, laps, crashes and the like. That data does not include your name, contact details, location or any identifier for you or your device, and we never sell it.
Who we are
Dirtbike Dash is made by HiLo ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Dirtbike Dash app for iPhone and iPad and this website. Questions go to get@dirtbikedash.com.
What the game sends us
After a race, the game sends a record of that race to our servers. It contains:
- the app version, the track, the difficulty and the race settings;
- finish order, finish and lap times;
- lane, speed and position at checkpoints around the track, and the gaps to the computer riders;
- how the race went: boost use, jumps, crashes and similar game events;
- the controls used during the race, so we can replay it exactly as it happened.
It does not contain your name or rider name, your email or phone number, your contacts, photos or location, your Apple ID or Game Center identity, an advertising identifier, or any identifier for your device. Each race record stands on its own, and we do not combine records to build a profile of a player.
Why we collect it
We use race records to balance tracks and computer riders, find spots that are too hard or too easy, and catch bugs. We look at the data in aggregate. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
What stays on your device
Your progress, medals, best times, ghost replays, settings and any tracks you build are stored on your iPhone or iPad. They are not uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes them, unless your device's own backup keeps a copy.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game can post your best times to Game Center leaderboards and report achievements. That is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive your Apple ID or contact information from Game Center.
Internet addresses
Like any internet connection, sending a race record reveals your device's IP address to our servers. We do not store it with race records or use it to identify you. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time to keep the service secure and running.
How long we keep it
We keep race records for as long as they help us improve the game. Because they do not identify anyone, we cannot find, show or delete the records from one particular player.
Children
Dirtbike Dash is rated 4+ and is made for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The anonymous race records described above contain no personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time for security and reliability.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because the game does not collect personal information, there is usually nothing to look up. If you email us, we will use your message only to reply, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Changes
If we change what the game collects, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
